My Diar3is......

|||||My wonderful Memories|||||

Yes, I cried sadly when cutting onions, I just don't know why, why my tears fall down automatically when I cutting those onions? I tried to stop my tears, but I just can't, my friends can’t and my mother can’t either. Have you all wondered before why everyone cries when onions die? Is it our heart can feel it while the onions shouted out loudly when we cutting it?

Well, this is crazy! We aren’t sad! That is not even our emotions! That is the chemical inside onions make the trouble.

I don't like to cry, and this is irritating! So, we must think some ways to avoid this! well... i found the solutions from websits.. we can chill the onions inside refrigerator after peeled it, change in temperature can alter the compounds inside it. We can also running a fan when we cut it, or, we can cut with tap water running, the chemical inside onions is soluble in water, and therefore, water will wash the chemical into drain. Finally, hope this helps for you people who loves to cook using onions! Onions are good, please eat more :)

hmmm... Just wanted to share the information to all my friends...

Polycarbonate bottles are popular now, as it is more resistant to heat, reusable, transparent, nice to carry as the weight is so light, special, and the designs on it looks nice that it attract people’s attention with various design that classic, funny, and meaningful. However, some of the substance used to make polycarbonate bottles might be harmful to our body. Some studies had stats that a harmful substance called Bisphenol A (BPA) leached from the polycarbonate bottles. BPA is the main substance to make polycarbonate bottles. It can be found in feeding bottles and other household items that made up of polycarbonate.

BPA can results risk to human health, such as cancer on human’s reproductive system. Some countries such as, Canada and Europe had restricted the level of BPA allowed to add into feeding equipments to avoid babies to contact with large amount of BPA. A study conducted by scientist found that a new bottle leached around 3.5ppb of BPA after washed gently with water, but, a very old and scratched bottle leached 28ppb of BPA! Another reports also found that BPA leak out from the bottles when it was boiling for about 30minutes. Some studies also showed that the migration of BPA to our foods is very low. Some scientist also says that polycarbonate bottles are safe to use. Some also says that BPA danger may be greater from tin cans than water bottles. Faint~In short, there is no clear conclusion about the safety of polycarbonate bottles. I think. Click here more information of BPA in canned foods.

Disease can be caused by BPA:

Especially for womens:

Some safer level of plastic for use:

However, we can do something to prevent BPA leaching from polycarbonate bottles; firstly, we should change our polycarbonate bottles that we’ve been using it for a period, we have to change our bottles when we see the surface inside the bottles is a bit of blur, secondly, we shouldn’t put boiling water inside the bottles. We can also choose BPA free water bottles, it is available in some countries already.

Are polycarbonate bottles safe to use? Judge yourself.

DID U NOTICE THAT ?? @@

I had noticed that most of the toothpaste now labeled with the sentence “fluoride toothpaste”. What is fluoride? What are the effects of fluoride toothpaste? How does the effect of fluoride take place in our teeth? Is fluoride safe for us to use it daily? Does fluoride harm our body? What is the risk of using fluoride toothpaste? Well, I’ve checked in some books and internet to find out the answers.

A compound of the element fluorine forms fluoride, it can be found through nature
in water, soil, and air. Toothpaste is a product that contain high abundant of fluoride. As what I’ve found out in the internet so far, fluoride helps to prevent and control tooth decay, cavities, and strengthen our teeth. Fluoride helps to prevent tooth decay in many ways:

  • Fluoride restrain the formation of tooth demineralization, which is also called tooth decay.

  • Fluoride improves tooth remineralization which is the reformation of tooth mineral by attracting other minerals such as calcium.

Another important party in remineralization is our saliva, our saliva secreted from salivary glands contains small amount of fluoride, but it is not enough to restrain the unbeneficial activity in our mouth.

  • Fluoride toothpaste is a good aide for saliva which can raise the abundant of fluoride present in our saliva.

  • Fluoride also reduces the growth rate of the bacteria in our mouth by inhibiting the bacteria to create sugar.

Other than that, tap water contains fluoride too, we can raise the concentration of fluoride in our saliva by drinking tap water that fluoridated, to prevent cavities and tooth decay. The tap water must be filtered, of course.

The minerals created through remineralization are hard compounds, what I mean here is that the compound is hard and more resistant to tooth decay, therefore, a even more resistant tooth surface was created after remineralization.

Fluoridated toothpaste can cause fluorosis, a condition which resulted by long-term intake of excess fluoride when a child’s enamel is forming. Children below the age of 2 using fluoridated toothpaste getting fluorosis more easily than those who starting late. Because fluorosis occurs when the stage of teeth starts to grows. Children may eat fluoridated toothpaste accidently as they like the taste of the toothpaste. To prevent this, we need to give attention when they are brushing teeth; we can give correct instruction to them to follow. Thus, toothpaste that contains high concentration of fluoride (1500ppm) is not suitable for children. Normal fluoridated toothpaste contains 1000ppm until 1100ppm fluoride. Children may use toothpaste that doesn't contain fluoride or contain very low concentration of fluoride. The symptom of fluorosis are the appearance of chalky-white lines on the surface of tooth at the starting, at extremely serious level, it will become brown color.

Worsen teeth fluorosis...eww...

The damage that dental fluorosis causes to the internal matrix of the teeth is permanent. There is no way to reverse this damage!!!
