My Diar3is......

|||||My wonderful Memories|||||

There is 2 things in this world that I scared the most, one is ghost, and another one is cockroach! And I just found a cockroach's action in my hostel kitchen, sob. That was very dark at the night and I’m home alone in my hostel, I get thirsty and I went to kitchen to get some water, after I turned the light on, gosh, there goes my fatal enemy – Mr./Mrs.( whatever gender it is) cockroach!! I used my leg to hit on the floor and make “Piak! Piak!” sound to scare it away, I refill my bottle quickly when it move away from me and then I got back to my room. Useless I am.
Another encountering with the “intruder” was in my room; it is not the case that my room is dirty or something else ok? It came into my room from outside!

My roommate was the one who found it, and

She said: “Chew… You see…”

I replied: “what?”

She pointed on the wall. Wow. Yes, A big fat cockroach. I screamed, yes, it made me screamed, I ran out of my room, and leaving my roommate alone in the room. How bad I am. Then the one and only boy housemate, the proud of my house came to settle this with his Ridsect! Finally, the invasion of the cockroach into my room has failed. Special thanks to my housemate. *Applause*

Every hero must have a suitable weapon to defeat their enemies. And the insecticide was the best weapon to defeat cockroach.

>>>>>>>>>>>Why?<<<<<<<<<<<

There are 2 active ingredients which are lethal to insects containing in the insecticide, which called Prallethrin and d-Phenothrin.

Cockroach in Wall.E... very cute...

Prallethrin are type of pyrethroid chemical used in insecticide. Pyrethroid chemicals deal less harm to human being and environment but some animals. They are man-made pesticides which similar to the natural pesticide pyrethrum, that is produced by chrysanthemum flowers. The amount of residue left on surfaces is very small and they can be broken down by sunlight and other chemicals in the atmosphere. They often last only one or two days in the environment. Pyrethroids are applied at very low levels in insecticide.

Molecular formula:

  • C19H24O3

When Pyrethroids enters human body...

  • It leaves quickly through the urine, and also in feces and breath.

If exposed to large amount of Pyrethroids…

  • To adults: Feel dizziness, headache, nausea and diarrhea

  • To children: Feel the same with adults.

d-Phenothrin is also a man-made Pyrethroids chemical as Prallethrin. It is a fast acting insecticide and effective by contacting and stomach action. Same as Prallenthrin, it is excreted by mammals easily, and it deals less harm to human being also. d-Phenothrin was stable when store in the dark, on the other hand, it is unstable when expose to sunlight.

Molecular formula:

  • C23H26O3

Symptoms when exposed to large amount of d-Phenothrin…

  • Headache, nausea and vomiting.

An insecticide kills insect by affect the nervous system and inhibit essential enzymes, some are stomach poisons, and inhalation poisons, and others contact poisons. Agents such as inert oil blocks the breathing pores of insects.

With these powerful active ingredients, the cockroaches will be end up like…
